Welcome back smoothie!

This blog has been neglected for so long but I return today with a smoothie and a regular posting schedule.

First, the goods:

Welcome Back Smoothie

Combine in a quality blender or Vita Mix:

1/2 frozen (or fresh + handful ice cubes) banana

3/4 cup frozen, pitted cherries

1/2 – 1 cup almond milk

1-2 Tbl cacao beans

1/2 cup plain yogurt

Cacao nibs are crunchy and taste like unsweetened chocolate. They are full of antioxidants.  This smoothie tastes kind of like a cherry chocolate chip smoothie.

Today has been a busy whirlwind day but I got SO much done.  I was up early for a blood draw, followed by a trip to Trader Joes.  Then the best part of my day so far was getting my new glasses!  They cost way WAY more than I anticipated but Nic gave me a break on mortgage this month ;), so it’s OK.  They won’t be ready for two weeks or so but I’m excited to post a pic when I get them. They are purple and kind of nerdy in a cute way.

I should be doing a million other things but now that I’ve got my blog situated I really just want to work on it all day.  I never really realized you could spend HOURS working on your blog.  No wonder successful bloggers quit their day jobs.

For now I’m going to work on getting my About page situated and make sure everything is flowing nicely.
