Last Day of No Sugar April

Today is the last day of this sugar challenge. I (of course) fell off the sugar-free wagon this this week. I knew I would, but I didn’t fall as hard as I expected. I think the next steps for me are to work on some of the things I mentioned in my last post. Working on emotional eating and figuring out triggers. I need some kind of journal for that I think.  I’m also considering a long stretch of visits with my nutritionist. My insurance covers unlimited visits at 100% which is just amaaaaaaazing.

It’s a beautiful mild day here and while we waited for some new tires to be put on Nic’s truck we spent an hour and a half wandering around one of our favorite local parks, and then had some lunch. Little guy is started to really become interested in nature. Especially bugs, leaves, flowers, and birds. He picks up a collection of leaves and rocks and fills up his pockets on ever walk or hike we do.

I think the rest of the weekend will include a visit to grandma, mowing the lawn, more working on the yard, laundry, and making/eating food. That sounds like a lot but I think it’s far less than what I used to pack into a weekend. Better to do less and feel less stressed.
